Welcome to Hayley Anselm Counselling and Psychotherapy.
You may be visiting this website because you are experiencing some difficulty in your life and are looking for support.
It could be that you have experienced a recent life-altering event. Perhaps events from your past continue to bring up painful feelings for you, or you may have reached a point in your life where you feel something needs to change.
You don't have to go through this alone.
As an experienced counsellor, I offer the opportunity to help you process the difficult emotions you are experiencing in a safe, warm, confidential and non-judgemental environment. Together, we can work though what it is that is troubling you with a view to enhancing self-awareness, personal strength and resilience.
I am a qualified, professional Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist who recognises the strength and courage it takes to seek support. I am committed to supporting my clients through the challenging times in their lives, with a view to enabling a deeper understanding of how they relate to both themselves and to others.
I am committed to valuing your unique lived experience and take the time to understand what your life experiences mean to you as an individual.
I work in a warm, supportive, collaborative way and provide a non-judgemental and confidential space for you to work on the problems that you are facing. I am a firm believer in openness within the therapeutic relationship and will offer and invite feedback during the course of our time together.
I hold a Masters Degree in Relational Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Roehampton University
I have extensive experience working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, and my experience ranges from working with ex-offenders and the disenfranchised to specialist bereavement settings, trauma, addiction, work stress, depression and anxiety.
I have worked in acute psychiatric services and have gained a wide range of experience working in addiction services at a private psychiatric hospital.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
